Mineral Deficiency Test

Magnesium, selenium and zinc are minerals vital for your physical and mental fitness. A deficiency can have serious consequences – such as a weakened immune system. The cerascreen® Mineral Deficiency Test helps you find out quickly and easily whether your body lacks these minerals.

The cerascreen® Mineral Deficiency Test is a sample-taking and mail-in kit that determines the levels of magnesium, zinc and selenium in your blood. Take the sample conveniently and easily at home! The sample of human capillary blood will then be analysed in vitro in one of our certified medical partner laboratories. Receive your mineral levels test results within two to three business days after your sample has arrived in the laboratory.

What does the Mineral Deficiency Test measure?

Magnesium is needed for more than 300 bodily functions. It helps to maintain normal nerve and muscle function, supports a healthy immune system, keeps the heart beating steadily and helps bones and teeth remain strong. Furthermore, it has a positive influence on fat metabolism.
Symptoms of a magnesium deficiency: Gastrointestinal complaints such as sickness and vomiting, cardiac arrhythmia, tingling in hands or feet, muscle cramps.
Zinc is found in cells throughout the body. It is needed for the body’s immune system to properly work. It plays a role in cell division, cell growth, wound healing, healthy skin and the breakdown of carbohydrates. Simply put, your metabolism cannot function properly without zinc.
Symptoms of a zinc deficiency: Loss of appetite, dermatitis, diarrhoea, increased susceptibility for infections, mental and psychological disorders, hair loss, reduced sense of smell and taste, delayed wound healing.
Selenium is essential for many functions in the body. It plays an important role as an antioxidant and is essential for the thyroid gland and for your immune function. It is assumed that it inhibits infections, prevents rheumatism and fights viruses.
Symptoms of a selenium deficiency: Fatigue, reduced performance, white spots on your fingernails, joint pains, pale and scaly skin, male infertility.
