Are you experiencing hair loss, headaches and fatigue? If your response to these questions is ‘yes’, then you might be suffering from ferritin deficiency (also known as iron deficiency). Ferritin is the iron stored in the human body; it is needed to transport oxygen in the bloodstream and is vital for various enzymatic processes.
Ferritin deficiency is the most common nutrient deficiency worldwide.
Iron deficiency is most commonly caused by a low-iron diet. Women need more iron due to monthly menstruation. In men and postmenopausal women, iron deficiency may also be caused by internal bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.
Further complaints:
- Dry skin
- Brittle fingernails
- Weakened immune system
Please note: Due to the current situation, there may be significant delays in the analysis of your Ferritin Blood Test in our medical partner laboratory. Your blood sample will be properly frozen in the laboratory during this time.
